How do you like them Apples? by Jennifer D.

In January 2010, Apple Inc. posted it’s all time highest revenue and I was not at all surprised to learn this (Apple, n.d.). Apple offers top of the line technology products including the MacBook, iPhone, iPod, iPad, and Apple TV. I own an iPod and this is one of my favorite technology gadgets because it allows me to transport all of my songs when I am away from home. A few years ago I made the switch from a PC to a MacBook and I could not be happier with my choice. Apple products combined with various other software and applications not only enhance the use of technology, they also provide opportunities for collaboration.

The iPhone is a unique phone that includes an iPod, the internet, and various applications (Apple, n.d.). By combining contacts, calendar, and email applications into the iPhone, Apple is helping international business team members to collaborate seamlessly on architectural projects (Apple, n.d.). The iPhone Facebook application allows groups of people to collaborate via this social networking website even when they are away from home. Additionally, the movie editing software, Final Cut Pro, allows professional movie editors to collaborate with directors over the final cuts in major motion pictures by discussing the edit in iChat Theater (Apple, n.d.). I was surprised to see that many movies I have seen recently were edited using Final Cut Pro including, 500 Days of Summer, Benjamin Button, and Traitor.

In conclusion, Apple has enhanced technology and made it possible for people to connect with others and collaborate on projects. I look forward to seeing what Apple has in store for us in the future.

I love Apple!! I have an iphone which I am not sure how I was able to function before it. I utilize the map application the most. I just recently purchased the 27" iMac and I am in love alreay. I am not technical with all the functions just yet but as a woman I love sleekness of the machine.

Apple appeals to a niche of the computer market that is as Yvonne put it interested in products that have a "sleek" form factor. Their products are not necessarily technically more capable than a windows/PC product, but Apple has appealed to a niche that wants both technical functionality as well as a sleek device. I have a macbook pro, iphone, and ipods and love them all. Like my description, I want products that are technically competitive as well as attractive, sleek, compact, and fashionable.

Apple is the best. I have never had an issue with any of their products. The sales people actually know what they are doing and you get all of the coolest gadgets that the other companies are trying to copy.

I have an I-pod along with my wife and my two year old daughter. We all can’t use them enough. I would not, on the other hand, buy an I-phone. Not because I don’t like the phone, but AT&T’s service just isn’t good enough for me. I have always been with Verizon and they have always given us good service. Just recently, I purchased the new Verizon Droid. They said it was comparable to the I-phone. I can’t get enough of this phone. The apps are just outstanding. It has an app that will allow you to program the phone to know where you are and turn the phone to vibrate. So every time you go to the classroom the phone would automatically switch the phone to vibrate. The phone is also powered by Google, which also has tons of cool apps. Sometimes I am blown away by the technology of today. I could go on and on talking about all the cool apps…but I won’t.

I too have an IPhone and I don't go anywhere with out it. I would die if I left it somewhere. It is great device and helps me out if I'm lost somewhere. I am also thinking of getting the Mac, but worried that it wont be as good as everyone else is saying it is. I am VERY interested in the newest product Apple just put out, the IPad...What is it exactly?
