I read an article by a writer that was writing his last article for a business column in which he wrote for 37 years. He is now moving over to write for a web site. I think this is happening and going to happen more and more in the future. The same goes for magazines a few days ago I subscribed to business week online. I think almost everything is going to turn electronic in a few years.
The same goes for how we are communicating in this class and doing homework. It is all electronic. I look forward to it when I actual write things on paper. Even at work I communicate all through text messaging and email.
It is going to be interesting to see what turn the world takes with electronics in the future.

As much as we see computer and technology taking over the current state of world progression, I do not think that paper writing will become obsolete. There are still individuals (elderly) that will not conform and will continue to read the daily paper and expect there monthly subscriptions. Web subscriptions, email communication and text messaging will be come dominant but "paper" communication will always remain.
I will have to side with shakita but it has change on how we submit them.

I think we will always have "paper" forms of communication but I have found that several organizations that have traditionally sent newsletters or weekly updates out via snail mail have converted to using the Internet as their chief form of communication. This makes sense, especially for small non-profits or groups who don't have a lot of extra money to pay for printing and postage. I have read that the post office is losing money every year because of the Internet that is why our stamps continue to rise but I don't think they need to be worried about being out of a job anytime soon.
Many institutions limit access to their online information. Making this information available will be an asset to all.
